If possible, it is recommended to schedule an appointment between the 7th and 11th week of pregnancy. This is when it is decided whether the expectant mother can be accepted for our antenatal care and the primary determination of the expected date of delivery is made, which includes confirmation of intrauterine pregnancy by bimanual examination, vaginal ultrasound examination, possibly a laboratory pregnancy test, as well as colposcopy, if necessary, cytological sampling, breast examination, weight, height measurement, and counseling. The condition for acceptance is that an obstetrician-gynecologist has confirmed a live intrauterine pregnancy \u2013 i.e. one showing a heartbeat \u2013, performed a risk classification, and issued a certificate to this effect. Pregnancy confirmation is not part of the pregnancy care package; in the absence of a fetal heartbeat during early pregnancy, the examination may need to be repeated.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The resting ECG does not require any preparation. During the examination, the patient lies in a supine position and electrodes are placed on the torso and limbs. The test provides a picture of the electrical activity accompanying the heartbeat and its changes. The ECG curve is displayed on a monitor, which is also printed out as curves drawn on a paper strip. You cannot move or speak during the test and must remain still throughout.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

General internal organ assessment: family and individual medical history, predisposing and risk factors, and possible complaints. General physical examination, including assessment of the condition of the major organ systems (skin, mucous membranes, lymph nodes, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, abdominal organs, musculoskeletal system, and nervous system), blood pressure, BMI measurement, lifestyle advice. During the examinations, body weight, pulse, and blood pressure are measured, the position of the fetus, fetal movement, fetal heart function, uterine fundus, uterine contractions are determined, and, if necessary, vaginal exploration, a vaginal examination, a cervix score, if needed, the week of pregnancy is determined, and a urine test strip (protein, glucose-acetone, leukocytes) is examined, if necessary. Checking fetal heart from week 28, teaching pregnant woman how to count fetal movement from week 34.
